Lining fabrics with over a century of experience

Our Italian partner Gianni Crespi Foderami produces the 100% recycled polyester lining for our KAIKU bag collection. The lining is integrated with the innovative BrightBio® KAIKU material created together with Brightplus. To enable 100% recylability, but ensure great functionality and durability, the bag collection required the right type of lining. Luckily, we discovered an amazing partner in Italy to help us make the collection come alive.

The company first began with the manufacturing of silk scarves, but during their years of operating, they have moved towards specialising in high quality lining materials, primarily for clothes. They are also very committed to sustainability practises and always developing their methods of manufacturing.

Family business

Gianni Crespi Foderami has always been a family business, with each generation developing the business further. The company recently celebrated its 100th anniversary since founding in 1921. Gianni Crespi, whose name is currently on the title, is the grandson of the original founder.
