Our collaboration with our material partner Brightplus enables the full recyclability of our KAIKU bags. Brightplus is a green chemistry company founded in 2014 in Oulu, Finland, that develops environmentally friendly material solutions for various industries. Their flagship product, BrightBio®, is a groundbreaking bio-based material that enables recycling and offers an effective solution for reducing waste and minimising environmental impact.
BrightBio® KAIKU is waterproof, durable, and completely free from PFAS compounds and other toxic chemicals. The material is made from bio-based, renewable raw materials such as soybean oil and other non-edible biomass sourced from industrial side streams. This innovative material represents the future of circularity: the product is designed to be recyclable at the end of its life cycle and can be reused in new products. BrightBio® KAIKU is OEKO-TEX® certified, ensuring safety and sustainability without compromising on aesthetics or quality.
