Growing up around horses and fields, Hanna Eskola inherited from her parents the appreciation for local production and sustainable consumption. That lead the way to study environmental engineering.

Today, she works at Isku Furniture Factory, and most of her time goes into development projects enhancing wellbeing of the employees and sustainability in production.

– We had been looking for alternatives for end use of leather as I came across Lovia at a seminar. So it was a win-win-deal. At the moment 97% of the waste we produce is utilised as material or energy, Hanna Eskola says.

Now, she takes care that all excess leather pieces are collected after the cutting process to become Lovia bags in collaboration with her team.
