The first thing you start chatting about with artisan Fulvio Galbiati, the founder of Clio factory, is surprisingly not bags. Even though he has over 30 years of experience in manufacturing designer bags and working with luxury labels.

It’s mushrooms.

– I love driving to the nearby mountains on the weekends. Picking mushrooms, that’s simple tranquility, Fulvio tells.

Fulvio, who makes the first samples for Lovia, is a true craftsman at heart and in the third generation. At the age of 15, he embarked on a new career following in his father's footsteps as a furniture carpenter, and taking in the influence of his grandfather who specialized in silk printing. The result was his very own business making leather bags.

– After working so long in the field, you have an ability to see through leather. You know exactly whether all details are made with attention and proficiency. The quality of a bag is hidden under the surface.
